The 8500 is compatible with sectional garage doors that have a front mount torsion spring with 1” shaft. The 8500 will handle a door up to 180 square feet in size 14’ tall and up to 650LB maximum weight. The 8500 and 3900 are NOT compatible with low headroom applications. Top clearance: 3 1/2 ' from center of torsion shaft to the top of the operator. Side clearance: 8” minimum required Approximately 1 1⁄2” shaft exposed beyond bearing plate required to attach coupler. Unit physical dimensions 16 1⁄2”L x 7”W x 6 3⁄4”D. The 8500 function can be controlled via smart phone when configured with the 828LM internet gateway [not included].
